How APCP can help you

We provide unique, innovative and value added healthcare system management services.

About us

The Association of Primary Care Physicians (APCP) was formed in 1994 as a non-stock, non-profit corporation. APCP is a physician-owned, physician operated multi-specialty IPA which arranges managed care contracting for its physician participants in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

APCP is helping physicians in nondependent or small group practices to organize, so that they can compete successfully for the growing number of patients in managed care plans while still maintaining an independent practice.

Our mission

To provide unique, innovative and value added healthcare system management services to a community of patients, physician networks, hospitals, employers, insurers and other healthcare organizations and to provide unsurpassed practice management services to our physician groups.

Our vision

To be recognized leaders and physicians of choice for primary care services in the communities in which we practice, distinguished by:

  • Established superior quality standards and review
  • Enhanced patient education
  • Health plan delegation of services including claims, medical management and credentialing
  • Enhanced referral system to allow physicians knowledge of efficient specialist physicians and facilities
  • Innovation and continuous improvement in PCP practices
  • Contracts including, but not limited to, risk arrangements with managed care
  • Strengthened patient-physician-IPA relationship
